أجد نفسي مرغما على البدء بتساؤل طرحته على نفسي, و يطرحه من حولي البعض ممن يتابعون الأفق التقني لحظة بلحظة و يشغلهم مثلما يشغلني كل ما يطرأ عليه من تغير, السؤال ببساطة هو, ما هي أجهزة الانترنت اللوحية أو المحمولة ؟؟ السؤال الذي قد يبدو بسيطا للوهلة الأولى هو في الواقع خادع بدرجة كبيرة, فهذا التصنيف الجديد من الأجهزة الإلكترونية لم يطلق وحده كتصنيف حقيقي لنوعية معينة من الأجهزة الإلكترونية إلا في وقت قريب للغاية مقارنة بعمر السوق ككل و لذا فحتى اللحظة مازال العالم لا يعرف خطوط دقيقة لتعريف هذة الأجهزة بدقة كاملة, و لكننا سنكتفي بالخطوط العريضة للتصنيف. فأجهزة الانترنت اللوحية أو ما يمكن تسميته بInternet Tablet Device أو ما ابتدع له من اسم جديد مؤخرا و هو MID أو Mobile Internet Device هي أجهزة صغيرة الحجم, قد تكون بحجم الهاتف المحمول و في المعتاد أكبر قليلا و تستخدم بغرض رئيسي هو التعامل مع الانترنت. هذة هي أبسط الكلمات التي يمكن أن نستخدمها لتعريف هذا التصنيف, شركة Intel حاولت هي الأخرى تعريفه فقالت عنه أنه جهاز محمول بشاشة لا يزيد قياسها عن 5 إنشات و قادر على القيام بثلاث وظائف رئيسية هي الوصول الى المعلومات و تصفح الانترنت بشكل مثالي دون عقبات كتلك التي تواجه الأجهزة المحمولة حين تتصفح الانترنت, استخدام البريد الإلكتروني و برامج التراسل الفوري و التدوين, القيام بوظائف التسلية من مشاهدة و الاستماع الى ملفات الوسائط المتعددة. أعتقد أن التعريفين, المختصر و الأكثر تفصيلا ينقلان صورة مناسبة لما نقصده حين نطلق المصطلح أجهزة الانترنت المحمولة أو اللوحية.
إذا, ما هي مواصفات أجهزة الانترنت المحمولة ؟؟ و كيف أميز بينها و بين أجهزة الهاتف المحمول أو أجهزة تشغيل الوسائط المتعددة ؟؟ .. واقع الأمر إن هذة النقطة هي ما يقف عائقا بين حصول أجهزة الانترنت المحمولة على تصنيف خاص بها في السوق التقني حاليا و إن كنت أتوقع بظهور هذا التصنيف الجديد تدريجيا قريبا جدا خاصة و أن شركة Intel تندفع بثقلها و قوتها الكاملة سعيا وراء إثبات وجود هذا التصنيف الجديد سعيا وراء مجد جديد لمعالجات Silverthorne التي تنتجها الشركة لهذا الغرض خصيصا و هي معالجات متناهية الصغر معدة خصيصا لاستخدامها مع هذة النوعية من الأجهزة متناهية الصغر كبيرة الإمكانيات. لذا, فسأتحدث عن المواصفات العامة الأكثر شيوعا لهذة الفئة من الأجهزة الإلكترونية و التي تمكنك من تمييزها علما بأن الشبه و التداخل موجود بينها و بين أجهزة معينة في تصنيفات أخرى.
بشكل عام, أجد النقطة التي تحدثت عنها Intel في تعريفها قد تكون مناسبة لبدء الحديث عن أجهزة الانترنت المحمولة, فهذة الأجهزة في معظم الأحيان هي أجهزة صغيرة, خفيفة, سهلة الحمل لا يتجاوز قياس الشاشة بها 5 إنشات, تعمل في معظم الأحيان بنظام تشغيل مختلف عن أنظمة تشغيل الهواتف المحمولة الشائعة, فقد رأيناها تعمل بنظامInternet Tablet OS في أجهزة Nokia N810 و N800 و رأيناها تعمل بأنظمة مغلقة في Sony Mylo و رأيناها في نسخ اختبارية أطلقتها BenQ و شركات أخرى و حتى رأيناها تعمل بنظام Mac في الiPod touch, تشترك جميعها في قدرتها على التعامل مع صفحات الانترنت بشكل مثالي, فالصفحات تبدو مطابقة لما نراه على شاشات الحاسب بمتصفحات يمكن الاعتماد عليها في القيام بالوظائف المختلفة على الانترنت دون محدودية, معظمها مزود ببرامج للتعامل المباشر مع البريد الإلكتروني, برامج التراسل الفوري, برامج قراءة الخلاصات, و في بعض الأحيان برامج التدوين المحمول. تتميز في معظمها بخواص متقدمة لتشغيل الوسائط المتعددة توازي أفضل مشغلات الوسائط المتعددة المعروفة, و ختاما فهي تأتي و لابد مزودة بعدد من التقنيات اللاسلكية للاتصال بالانرتنت في الوقت الحالي تعتمد الأغلبية العظمى منها على الWiFi مع وجود اتجاهات لدى البعض و إن لم تكن شائعة حاليا لتضمين وحدة هاتف خاصة فقط للتعامل مع البيانات و الدخول الى الانترنت.
بهذا نكون قد تعرفنا على هذة الفئة الجديدة من الأجهزة الإلكترونية, و لكن بقت نقطة هامة للغاية, و هي هل هذة الأجهزة الجديدة جاءت بالفعل مخاطبة لاحتياجات العصر و لتقدم بديل عملي يحتاجه الإنسان أم أنها مجرد وسيلة جديدة من وسائل الرفاهية الزائدة التي قد يتم الاستعاضة عنها بفئات الأجهزة المتاحة حاليا ؟؟ .. مخاطبتي لهذة النقطة هي وجهة نظر شخصية و لكنها في الوقت ذاته تنم عن تجربة لعدد من هذة الأجهزة الناشئة و مشاهدة للبعض الآخر و إطلاع شامل على كل ما تم تقديمه في هذة الفئة الجديدة. أقول باختصار, إنني أجد نفسي مقتنعا كل القناعة بهذة الفئة الناشئة من فئات الأجهزة الإلكترونية و التي أجدها تقدم حلا حقيقيا يخاطب الحاجة الماسة للبقاء على اتصال دائم بالانترنت في عصر بات الانترنت فيه يمثل ضرورة من ضروريات الحياة و ليس رفاهية زائدة عن الحاجة, إن تجربة تصفح الانترنت و التعامل مع وظائفه المختلفة التي باتت تتخطى حدود التصفح البسيط في هذة الفئة الجديدة تجعلها تتميز و تتفوق على الإمكانات المشابهة المتاحة في فئات أخرى من الأجهزة الإلكترونية.و على الجانب الآخر فإنني مازلت بانتظار تقديم عدد أكبر من خيارات الاتصال المتاحة و أراها بالفعل في حاجة رئيسية لدعم تقنيات تبادل المعلومات عبر الجيل الثالث لشبكات الهاتف المحمول لتصبح فعليا قادرة على الاتصال في أي وقت و في أي مكان. و دمتم ..

الحاسبات فائقة الصغر توقعات تميل إلي ان تكون تسا ؤ لات "

بعد مرور أربعة أشهر على ظهور أول حاسب UMPC رخيص فعلياً والذي قدمته ASUS تحت اسم EeePC 701 يبدو أن موجة من المنافسة قد بدأت في التسابق لاستحقاق أموالنا.
قامت ASUS بالإعلان رسمياً عن EeePC 900 . من المتوقع أن بدأ شحن هذا النموذج الجديد من الـ EeePC في الربع الثاني من هذا العام وقد تم حل مشكلة التذمر الوحيدة لمستخدمي EeePC 701 أي وهي الشاشة ذات الـ 7 إنشات. وكما أخبرناكم سابقاً بأن الحجم الجديد للشاشة سيكون 8.9 إنشات فسيكون بزيادة بضعة جرامات بسيطة في الحجم وإنش عاشر للحجم. أما غير ذلك فستكون مواصفات EeePC 900 قريبة جداً لمواصفات EeePC 701 , ولكن بسعر 600 دولاراً طبقاً للتصريحات لتبدأ الحرب في اتجاه جديد وهو حرب الأسعار بجانب الاتجاهين الأساسيين للمنافسة؛ المواصفات, والحجم.
تكلمنا في خبر سابق عن HP 2133 والذي أثيرت عنه شائعات كثيرة وليس لدينا سوى معلومات قليلة عنه وبعض الصور التي تم تسريبها للإنترنت, بسعر 499 دولاراً كما تقول الإشاعات يبدو بأنه سيكون من أقوى المنافسين في سوق الـ UMPC ويبدو لنا بأنه سيكون أشرس منافس لسلسلة الـ EeePC بعد أن أعلنت HP عن طلبها لـ 2 مليون وحدة من صانع المكونات الأساسية لهذا النموذج.
أكدت مايكروسوفت مؤخراً عن قرارها منع بيع نظام ويندوز XP لصانعي وحدات ومكونات الحواسب ابتداءً من 30 يونو من هذا العام, مما سيسبب حالة من الشتات لصانعي الحواسب, حيث سيضطر الجميع للتوجه لتزويد أجهزتها بويندوز فيستا الشره للموارد والمساحات التخزينية بالنسبة لأجهزة الحاسبات فائقة الصغر. وهذا يعني أن جميع الحاسبات التي سيتم إنتاجها أو بيعها يجب أن تحتوي على معالج 1 جيجاهيرتز وقرص صلب بحجم 20 جيجابايت على الأقل. يبقى أن نصبر حتى ذلك الوقت لنرى كيف سيتصدى لهذه المشاكل حاسب Eee PC الذي يحتوي على معالج 900 ميجاهيرتز وقرص من نوع SSD , هل سيتم تطويره بشكل جذري أم ستقوم ASUS بالاعتماد على نظام لينوكس بشكل أساسي بدلاً من الويندوز؟
لقد بدأت الحرب. ولا يفاجئنا أن نرى أسماء أخرى تشارك بهذه الحرب مثل Dell و Kohjinsha قريباً وخصوصاً بعد ظهور حاجه السوق لحاسبات ثانوية سهلة التنقل ولايحتاج تشغيلها لطاقة كهربائية كبيرة.

أطلقت Apple اليوم تحديث جديد لبرنامج Aperture 2 المخصص للمصورين و الذي أطلقته في الثاني عشر من فبراير الماضي, التحديث الجديد 2.1 يمكن تحميله بدأ من اليوم بشكل مجاني لمقتني البرنامج و تتركز الإضافة الرئيسية في هذا التحديث على تقديم دعم للإضافات الخارجية بما يمكن المصورين من استخدام برمجيات خارجية في التعامل مع صورهم مباشرة من خلال Aperture , كما يقدم التحديث عدد من الأدوات الإضافية للتعامل مع الصور و التحكم في الإضاءة.
